How to use Carly?
To use Carly, all you need is the Carly Universal Scanner, the Carly App, and your mobile phone!
The Carly Universal Scanner is compatible with most cars built after 2001 that have an OBD2 interface. The best part is that it works with over 80+ car brands, so you can use the same scanner in as many vehicles as you want.
Additionally, the Carly Scanner works with Bluetooth, so you don’t need additional OBD cables or equipment. This small pocket-sized device is very light, modern-looking, and easy to plug into your car’s OBD port.
Moreover, in the Carly App, you will be able to access all of your vehicle’s information. This available is compatible with both iOS and Android operating systems.
Once you have your scanner and app, getting started is extremely easy. First, turn on your car’s engine and plug the scanner into your car’s OBD port. You can usually find it under the steering wheel by the gas pedals.

“You get what you pay for” (I use both Carly and a lower priced competitor) Carly is the one I reach for more often. The interface is much more intuitive and user friendly. The support is top notch as well. Most may be turned off by the yearly subscription. I am in agreement that it is priced high. After using both Carly and a competitor that starts with the letter “B” …. Carly is the one I chose to stick with for the foreseeable. This decision is based on my positive experience with the app (easy to use, very beautiful app, and loads of features) and my positive experience with Carly customer service RECOMMENDED!
This thing had paid for itself several times over. In the first 3-4 weeks I’ve had it, I’ve programmed a new battery, diagnosed and corrected a failing water pump, thermostat and maf sensor. Coding has also gotten rid of some of the minor annoyances in my BMW. Added a digital speedometer, mirrors now fold in when I lock the car, soft touch turn signals stay on a little longer, and I can close my windows and sunroof from my key fob. I normally dont review apps but had to give credit where its due
